"Territorio Puloui“ is a documentary film that explores the deep and complex relationship between the indigenous Wayuu community and water. It tells the story of Carmela‘s journey as she visits the La Guajira peninsula for the first time. Her father‘s home region and the ancestral territory of the indigenous Wayuu. She takes a look at the effects of opencast coal mining and climate change and what this means for the survival of Colombia‘s largest indigenous community. The film shows how important it is to include the indigenous perspective in the current environmental debate.
