When 14-year-old Levi loses his guardian, he's forced to choose between foster care and living with his aunt and uncle's dysfunctional family. Given the length of the summer to make his decision, Levi's aunt and uncle invite him to their vacation home, a camper tucked into an oceanfront campground in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Plucked from his grandfather's farm in rural North Carolina, Levi struggles to navigate a new social environment of unsupervised teens. When Levi's cousins force him to branch out, he finds himself faced with temptation, conflict, and a budding romance. As the summer wears on and the newness of his environment wears off, Levi's grief resurfaces amid the increasing tensions in his would-be family.
