Through a unique partnership between the Social Justice Film Institute and the nonprofit Gifts of Hope, the documentary Rites of Passage is a 25-minute film that highlights a group of African American students from Seattle and their journey to Dakar, Senegal. This collaboration and the students' journey will be the main focus of the Youth Visions program during the Social Justice Film Festival. We will screen the film depicting their journey, followed by a discussion with the students about their experiences in Dakar. The Climate Pledge Arena Community Area Foundation sponsors this program.
