Sam is depressed, in debt and alone, she's at her wits end and comes across a self-help organization online called, The Wise. She takes a chance when they promise to restore the fight in her. This psychological suspense short film is a proof of concept for a larger scale film and is meant to speak to its audience through hidden themes of addiction, mental health, identity, and transformation. Depression and anxiety can restrict our ability to breathe as if we're underwater, until something snaps us back into our body and we take what can feel like, our first breath.
