The very web of life on Earth is being threatened in what scientists are calling a ‘Sixth Mass Extinction.’ With their feature length debut documentary, Escape From Extinction, American Humane and director/producer Matthew Brady of MRB Productions have traveled the world to examine the work of the major zoological organizations. Working against the clock, the zoos can be seen as nature’s last arks of hope in preserving the rich legacy of life on our planet. Without this help – and the global engagement of the public – the biological treasures we hoped to bequeath to our children and our grandchildren may disappear forever within a generation. Narrated by Academy Award winner (™) Helen Mirren, Escape From Extinction explores the urgent crisis being faced by a multitude of species, and proposes a hopeful outlook through swift, meaningful action. The film was released nationally in theaters in October 2020.
