SPECIAL FUNDRAISING SCREENING. This special VOD screening of Owen Story was graciously provided by the makers and those creatives involved as a means to share again, after all these years and to use funds generated by ticket sales to support EOFF in its ongoing efforts to support and nurture local and regional filmmaking. Consider becoming a Festival Friend and watch this any time for FREE.

Three stories intersect as Bucky, Natalie, and Kenneth navigate major life experience and serendipitously interact near a small town called Owen.

Produced, filmed and premiered in and around La Grande, Oregon in 2004, this independent production rallied a community around the idea of making a feature length film, working together to learn skills and refine ideas and to maximize the resources that were available in our rural region. Following the premiere Owen Story in La Grande at Eastern Oregon University, the film screened at The Hollywood Theater in Portland and was officially NOT selected by the first ever Bend Film Festival.

Major life changes for the team near the end of post production secured Owen Story's fate as a story that would be shared with only a relatively small audience. However, with this restored version. these characters are given life once more. A great BETA Test production and a project worth keeping in the digital ethers.

"This screening is made possible by Eastern Oregon Film Festival and the makers and creatives behind the project express gratitude for the opportunity to bring this project back to an audience and to be able to share again after nearly 20 year the project that we were all so proud of and that which was the catalyst for a lot of life experience to come. - Enjoy. " -- Christopher Jennings.
