This short films program includes three revealing stories of fascinating lives and a strange but true story involving Johnny Carson.

Myrtle Simpson was awarded the Polar Medal over fifty years after she became the first woman to cross the polar ice cap covering Greenland. Myrtle’s life has taken her around the globe blazing her own, unique trail and today, at 90, she continues to explore the world around her.


This short film is part of Shorts Program 2, which includes three revealing stories of fascinating lives and a strange but true story involving Johnny Carson. Following the screening, Boston Globe correspondent Loren King moderates a recorded Q&A with director Leigh Anne Sides.
