A ride share driver's life is turned upside down after an unexpected series of misfortunes.

Grimmfest says: Brad Baruh and Meghan Leon, the creative team behind Grimmfest 2018 hit DEAD NIGHT, reunite with two of that film's stars, AJ Bowen and Sophie Dalah, for a time-twisting take on classic noir tropes. Starting as a darkly comic INTO THE NIGHT style thriller, in which the hapless Uber-driver protagonist finds himself sucked into an increasingly dangerous series of situations by a charming, but increasingly volatile young woman, as they drive around LA at night in pursuit of a mysterious McGuffin, it gradually reveals itself as something far wilder and weirder, as the characters' journey veers off in increasingly unexpected directions, culminating in a jaw-dropping and outrageous third act twist which entirely rewrites everything we have seen thus far. Beautifully shot by Baruh himself, with a fine sense of LA at night, the film benefits hugely from Bowen and Dalah's sparky, combative onscreen chemistry, and deft delivery of the droll, often eccentric dialogue, which carry the breakneck narrative effortlessly through its stranger, more startling tonal and narrative shifts towards a pay-off which is far grimmer and more cynical than one might expect. And is about as noir as it gets.

Both screenings will be attended by actor A.J. Bowen who will present and Q&A after the film.
