We end the 10th edition of the Honolulu African American Film Festival by presenting a collection of short films that highlight the cutting edge of Black cinema—highlighting the accomplishments of Black scientists and artists while diving into the different shades of the Black experience in America. 

The untold story of African-American chemist Alice Ball, who at the age of 23, finds an effective treatment for leprosy in 1915 Hawaii.
