I'm sure when you hear that these are "Isolation" short films, you will immediately think about the isolation at home during this pandemic. That is actually true for some of them--a couple were even filmed while on lockdown. That is not all of them, though. I was thinking of this theme long before we know what COVID-19 was. We have a short film block about relationships, and we have another one about family. This one is about the absence of either, and it is something that is personally quite terrifying to me. We also are asking a question with at least two of the short films (VR Food and Jeff Drives You): is it still isolation when one's company is a machine? See what you think!

GAME OVER

Maybe all those parental warnings about playing video games were true? -Miguel

"Quick and effective. It's funny, well done and made me wince!" -Programmer Rebekah Fieschi

Director: Sydney Clara Brafman is an award winning writer and filmmaker living in Brooklyn, NY. Her focus drives her to study the human condition, the irony of circumstance, the tragedy of humor and the environments they inhabit with a wicked sense of humor and style. When she's not making movies, she's passionately hating cocoa, removing stage blood stains from her clothing, and enjoying cats on the street. So, are you a fan of delicious flavor?
