Let's be real: you really can't have a complete horror program without the slasher, the killer, the villain, or people just plain behaving badly. This group of short films runs the gamut from hilarious hi-jinks to creeping terror to films that somehow provide both in equal measure. There is an age-old horror debate about creature feature scares versus more "realistic" human evil scares. It is a debate I care little for since both serve a purpose (though I will always admit to loving the monsters)!
A woman haunted by her OCD and intrusive thoughts must overcome herself and face her inner demons to survive the night in the event of a terrifying home invasion by three masked slashers.
It takes some special gall to tell the story of mental wellness through the veneer of a post-millennial slasher, but Elwood Walker pulls it off with both familiar style and genuine chills! -Miguel
"I yelled 'No!' at the screen more than once, which is about the best compliment I can give!" -Programmer Laila Ayad
Director: Elwood Quincy Walker is a horror film director & writer living in Los Angeles. As a child his love for halloween & Blockbuster Video led to his passion for horror filmmaking. At age 13 he began working professionally as a signed commercial director making spots & short films for brands, such as his short "Rocket Boy" for Disney Parks which was shown in over 15,000 movie theaters nationwide, a PSA for the TEACH Campaign which was featured at the AFI White House Student Film Festival and speaking at TEDX Hollywood.
Since then Elwood has made several short films that have screened & received accolades around the world. After a successful run on the festival circuit, his short film “Kissed” recently premiered online on Gunpowder & Sky’s horror platform ALTER. His latest short film “The Rule Of Three” is currently making it’s way on the festival circuit & he is developing it into a feature length script.
