A rediscovered treasure, produced 50 years ago for local television to document the life of Hartford’s Jews in the first quarter of the 20th century, in partnership with the Jewish Historical Society. The economic, political, and cultural history of Hartford Jews is told using hundreds of photographs found in local archives, alongside excerpts from taped interviews with prominent community members many will remember, and narration by Emma P. Cohen, Sadie E. Klau, Joseph Hurwitz, and Sylvia Sheketoff.
