From Cynthia Rothrock and Bolo Yeung to Billy Blanks the film explores the martial arts craze in the U.S. and the ferocious appetite of video store customers for these titles. Director Statement

The film examines low-budget martial arts films from the North American Pictures catalogue and adds context as to why these films thrived in the video store era. I think it's important to delve back into the past and examine films that people have forgotten. We looked into independent film genres that often don't get critical praise. Oddly enough these B-movies, like a lot of independent films throughout the history were diverse and they were a window into a genre that perhaps needs to be revisited.
