Janeé Harteau, the first female chief of police in Minneapolis, works to reform a department plagued by allegations of biased policing. She creates a more inclusive culture by recruiting and promoting women. Though some progress is made, Harteau is forced to resign after a shocking officer-involved shooting. How will the department move forward after her exit? This close study of the MPD examines the complexities of reform and injustice in modern policing.
