At the heart of The Ideologies & The Promise Virtual Experience are four monthly Livestreams (virtual conversations) in which a member of the Creative Team for Alexandro Pacheco's 2021 film, Ideologies & The Promise, speaks on one of the many themes in the film. The conversations are each preceded by a private screening for viewers who then watch the interview live with a chance to ask questions in real time. Replay of each program is divided into the following chapters (move to a different chapter using the scroll/chapter functions on your screen):

ABOUT THIS LIVESTREAM: Ideologies & The Promise includes close to 15 minutes of original music composed by NYU Steinhardt Graduate Sanjay Garcia Pamaar. The score has won the distinction of Best Score for a Short Film by the Toronto Film Awards, announced just days before the airing of Livestream III in which Pamaar was joined by the psychologist, and fellow musician, Daniela E Schreier, PsyD ABPP, who led a discussion on the film's complex themes. Together, using examples replayed from the film, they explored how the film had to be constructed while isolated in the epicenter of a global pandemic, as well as how the music was created to portray the feelings surroundings the film's themes.

PLEASE NOTE: Ideologies & The Promise is not screening at this link. You can return to view a final preview screening on April 18. In the meantime, enter now for the interview (no code needed)
