Hazel Doupe and John Cutler are interviewed by two IFI Work Experience students Lucy Vaughan and Amy Auden. They will discuss their careers to date and working together from different sides of the camera on new Irish horror film, You are Not my Mother.


John Cutler, Editor

John is an Irish film editor. A graduate of the National Film School in 2012, John gained recognition for editing the horror short Catcalls, which earned his feature film editing debut with recent Irish Folk-Horror You Are Not My Mother. His background is in editing commercials and music videos and he has earned multiple awards for his work. 


Hazel Doupe, Actor

Hazel is passionate about storytelling and stepping into other people's shoes to experience each character she portrays. She has played a variety of characters in film and television, including Frances in the film Float Like a Butterfly and Ingrid in television drama Smother. Most recently, Hazel plays Char in Kate Dolan’s horror feature You Are Not My Mother, which has earned her a Best Actress nomination for the upcoming 2022 IFTAs.
