Diog O Connell - Moderator

Dr. Díóg O’Connell lectures in Film & Media Studies specialising in Irish Cinema, Television Drama and Scriptwriting and is Programme Chair of BA in New Media Studies at IADT. She has worked in film and television drama production and as part of the Writers’ Team for Irish television drama productions. She is a contributor to Story Lab, Film EU and is one of the IADT Academic Leads in Creative Futures Academy


Dearbhla Walsh – Director/Exec Producer

Dearbhla is the Emmy-award winning lead director and EP of BAD SISTERS for Apple/Merman. She also directed the pilot of comedy horror SHINING VALE starring Courteney Cox & Greg Kinnear. She directed multiple episodes of FARGO S3 and S4, and the award-winning Washington DC episode of THE HANDMAID’S TALE. A wealth of experience directing TV, Dearbhla has just finished filming the upcoming SUNNY in Japan for A24/Apple TV+.


Peter Coonan - Actor

Peter appears in Bad Sisters written by Sharon Horgan and feature film THE GATES directed by Stephen Hall. He was recently seen in the role of Fionn in AMC Networks' Irish drama HIDDEN ASSETS and the role of Tomas in Irish Language feature DOINEANN. He plays Connor Dunn in the sixth season of BBC series PEAKY BLINDERS. He recently appeared in the Abbey Theatre production of THE GREAT HUNGER directed by Caitriona McLaughlin & Conall Morrison. Fluent Irish speaker.


Brian Gleeson - Actor

Brian can currently be seen in Sharon Horgan’s hit limited series BAD SISTERS on Apple and was recently seen on Sky’s THE LAZARUS PROJECT and the latest series of TOP BOY for Netfllix. Previously he was seen in the title role in FRANK OF IRELAND for Channel 4 and Amazon, the reboot of HELLBOY for Lionsgate; and PEAKY BLINDERS for Netflix. Film credits include DEATH OF A LADIES MAN opposite Gabriel Byrne, Paul Thomas Anderson’s PHANTOM THREAD, Steven Soderbergh’s LOGAN LUCKY, and Darren Aronofsky’s MOTHER!.


Derek Holland – Editor

After completing a college degree that had little to do with filmmaking, he worked his way up through the traditional post-production ladder of making tea as a runner, to loading tapes, assistant editing and finally to edit himself. Over a decade working in commercials and documentaries, but has been working in drama exclusively for a few years now. Latest projects include Sharon Horgan's Bad Sisters for Apple TV+. He makes his own tea these days.


Liz Kenny – Locations

Liz Kenny has worked in the Irish Film Industry for the last seventeen year’s working on over nineteen feature films / TV Drama’s and over thirty commercials, starting her career in production and working through as Location Manager onto to Production Manager / Line Producer.
