Omer and Bar are a long-term couple living in Israel. Omer is part of a dance company and hopes to create her own routine one of these days. Bar is a sought-after chef and food artist. They have a flat and a dog and great sex and a terrific life.

The only thing missing is a child.

Omer carrying the baby is the only option, as Bar is on medication she can’t stop taking. And so begins the perusal of sperm donors, the choosing of the best one, the countless visits to the clinic, and the endless amounts of money, especially after Omer fails to get pregnant the first time. Or the second. Or the third. It’s then that Two explores the often-overlooked aspect of artificial insemination—not getting pregnant—and the emotional toll it can take on a couple. Omer is sad and cranky and tired of being poked and prodded, not to mention feeling like a failure. And Bar just misses the way things used to be. When they decide to go a less conventional route, will it be their salvation or their breaking point?
