Film gives voice to those systematically marginalized and overlooked. As the past year has proven, the struggle for equality and equity is ever urgent and black lives and perspectives matter. Although these six films in the POC-POV Shorts Block shine their individual spotlight on the challenges and truths of living in America as an African American, they also show the resilience, triumph and hope of people overcoming adversity.

#BTSD (Black Traumatic Stress Disorder) examines the psychological effects that violent acts against Black Americans, as continuously displayed in the news media, have on the average person of color.
