A poetic proclamation of lesbian identity, a moving documentary portrait of an estranged son, a heartbroken divorcee finding happiness, a story of hope and pride on the war-torn streets of Tripoli, and two young men from one of the tougher parts of London experiencing an all-too-brief moment of intimacy. These five short films are for those who survive and thrive, whatever the circumstances.

Written by British-Syrian writer Lisa Luxx, Lesbian is a poem about the word itself and the decades of toxic connotations it’s acquired. Adapted into a film by Rosemary Baker and featuring a cast of real queer women this is a fierce call to arms to reclaim it. Lesbian is shortlisted for both the International and Best British prizes.

Wedi'i hysgrifennu gan yr awdur Prydeinig-Syriaidd Lisa Luxx, mae Lesbian yn gerdd am y gair ei hun a'r degawdau o gynodiadau gwenwynig y mae wedi'i ddenu. Wedi'i haddasu mewn i ffilm gan Rosemary Baker ac yn cynnwys cast o ferched queer go iawn, mae hon yn alwad ffyrnig i’r frwydr i'w hadennill. Mae Lesbian ar y rhestr fer ar gyfer y gwobrau Rhyngwladol a Gorau Ym Mhrydain.
