In this Pittsburgh-shot drama, hypothermia researcher Dr. Sidney Randall discovers life-saving data gathered in Nazi death camp experiments, but she must argue for approval to get the medical establishment to validate her findings. Randall recruits a team, including a disgruntled bioethicist and an eager but naive translator, to help her navigate the cut-throat world of medical-ethical debate. Documenting the process are two student filmmakers, who bear witness to both her personal journey and the ethical arguments her discoveries have spurred. Inspired by true events, VALIDITY bravely questions what happens when scientific progress tests the moral code.
