Arthur J. Finkelstein, the Jewish American political consultant, is a figure shrouded in controversy. Finkelstein is considered one of the most innovative and influential political strategists of his time and laid the foundation for today's political landscape. From the shadows, he played a key role in the campaigns of notable leaders such as US President Ronald Reagan, Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban, and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Hero to some, villain to others, Finkelstein is also perceived as the ultimate hypocrite—a gay man who helped bringing some of the strongest conservative anti-gay republican candidates to power. “The Consultant” offers a rare glimpse into his life and work through never-before-seen home videos, providing an intimate look at the man behind the curtain in his own words.
