Renowned singer, producer, and artistic director, David Serero, has unveiled the heartwarming trailer for his latest project titled "The Royal Opera of Morocco: The Making-of." This captivating documentary offers a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the creation of Morocco's first national opera company, an ambitious endeavor to develop and promote lyrical artistry within the Kingdom of Morocco.

Under David Serero's artistic direction, The Royal Opera of Morocco has a noble mission of promoting lyrical artistry in Morocco by training future Moroccan opera singers who will interpret the greatest opera works. This includes creating lyric pieces in the rich Moroccan dialect, commonly known as Darija, to celebrate local culture while integrating global standards of lyrical art.

"Morocco will have its place in the world of Opera!" declares David Serero, expressing his commitment to making Morocco an African and Arab reference in the opera world. The project aims to establish a troupe of Moroccan lyrical artists performing in a diverse opera season. This season will feature major lyric repertoire works in their original language (French or Italian), some adapted into Darija, directed and produced by Moroccan talents, and original Darija works composed by Moroccan artists specially commissioned for The Royal Opera of Morocco. The project also includes tours featuring Moroccan singers to promote Moroccan culture and establish partnerships with other opera houses worldwide.

David Serero deeply desires to establish an Opera House in Morocco that will honor the richness of its culture and history. He emphasizes that Moroccans deserve the best and is determined to bring the same rigor, seriousness, and artistic excellence found in European or New York operas.
