Among Neighbors is an award-winning documentary by filmmaker Yoav Potash that unearths a haunting true story of betrayal and survival from a small, rural Polish town where Jews and Polish Catholics coexisted for centuries before World War II.

The film focuses on a dark and largely unknown chapter of history: the violence that occurred after the war, when some returning Jewish survivors were murdered by their own Polish neighbors, not by the Nazis. Through a blend of poignant interviews with the last living eyewitnesses, candid vérité footage, and evocative, hand-drawn animation, the documentary brings these buried memories to life.

The narrative is driven by two central figures: one of the last living Holocaust survivors from the town, and an aging Polish woman who, as a teenager, witnessed the murders and now defies current Polish law (which threatens imprisonment for blaming the nation for the Holocaust) to share her testimony and search for a Jewish boy she loved. Described as an "urgent murder mystery" with significant historical and political relevance, Among Neighbors is a powerful exploration of memory, truth, and the complex, often painful, choices made by ordinary people in extraordinary times.
