A series of shorts about transition, of people in the act of becoming, of human metamorphosis.

From expecting mothers to senior citizens finding joy in life’s third act, and a brave soul defying gender norms in the Weimar Republic, these deeply impactful films use animation, lyrical storytelling, and deadpan humor to paint a portrait of people mid-transformation.

Featured films: Bear With Me, Butterflies in Berlin, How To Swim, Inside the Pipelines, Lady Liberty, Round Three, and Shakti.

A Jewish young man, the death of his grandmother, depression, Hare Krishnas, Passover, and potato knishes.

Federico is in his mid-twenties and lives alone in a Buenos Aires apartment. He splits up with his girlfriend Magda, on the day that his grandmother dies. He meets a new love interest, Shakti, and invites her to dinner.

A microcosm of Argentine society, which Rejtman deciphers in carefully composed images with a sparsely told story and a directing approach in defiance of retro realism.
