A spiritualist medium holds a séance for a writer suffering from writer's block but accidentally summons the spirit of his deceased first wife which leads to an increasingly complex love triangle with his current wife of five years. Based upon the 1941 play of the same name by Noël Coward, the British comedy is directed by Edward Hall and stars Judi Dench, Leslie Mann, Isla Fisher, and Emilia Fox, among others.

EDWARD HALL | Director


Edward has become one of the UK’s most sought-after directors, and is best known to American television audiences for directing the extremely successful series Downton Abbey and Restless.


His theatrical career, spans over two decades, and includes London theatre productions at the National Theatre and the Royal Shakespeare Company. Hall founded the Propeller Theatre Company, performing Shakespeare in London’s West End, before becoming internationally renowned, with tours to countries including Australia, USA, China, Hong Kong, Europe, Japan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. 


He is now turning his attention to the big screen with the adaptation of the Noël Coward classic Blithe Spirit, two other films currently in development.
