A brutal massacre shocks a small Southeast Asian town, leaving investigators with almost no evidence. Detective Ah Te soon discovers that one of the victims, Li Ziyi, was a notorious juvenile delinquent responsible for a horrific assault on a high school girl, Liu Qingqing. As Ah Te begins to uncover the truth, the other perpetrators connected to the crime are struck by violent misfortune. Suspicion falls on Liu Qingqing's father, yet his apparent mental instability makes conviction impossible. As Ah Te digs deeper, he begins to suspect Liu Qingqing’s mother, Wen Ting only to realize that the revenge unfolding may be far more calculated than anyone imagined.
