Georgios Karaiskakis was the commander-in-chief of the Greek Revolutionary Army of 1821. This documentary examines the life of this important liberator through history, poetry, folklore, letters, documents, and descriptions from his comrades and biographers.


 

Nikos Papakostas is a composer, poet, and documentary director who has collaborated with many Greek and foreign artists. Many of his historical and scientific documentaries have received awards at international festivals. He has also written music and lyrics, translated poetry, and authored the monograph The Music of Smyrna and Rebetiko.
