This documentary presents an unpublished conversation from the 1980s between filmmakers Theo Angelopoulos and Nikos Panayotopoulos. It offers a fresh look at the New Greek Cinema and at the work of two distinctive film directors, showing their common ground alongside their conflicting views on cinema and film culture.
Antonis Kokkinos is a director who studied cinema at Stavrakos Film School while working as an assistant director. His first feature film, The End of an Era, screened at more than 40 international film festivals. He also teaches cinema, and has run educational film programs in the prisons of Korydallos and Thebes.
Yannis Soldatos is a film historian, novelist, playwright and filmmaker. Twenty of his plays have been published and performed. He served as the general secretary of the Greek Association of Film Critics, and as president of the Association of Book Publishers.
