Calabria, 1970s. Marco is 12 years old and lives in a town "arbëreshë" in Calabria together with his mother Francesca, grandmother and older sister Elisa. His father Tullio is in France working for send the money home .His absences weigh especially on Marco, who finds himself being the man of the house at 12 years old, and sometimes having to make bigger decisions than him.
