In 2020 the COVID-19 Pandemic shut down theatre across the world. In the resulting cultural blackout, artists all over the globe searched online for a home for their creative wares. We at Permafrost Theatre Collective attempted to create a place for orphaned writing. We took these pieces and treated them as found objects, had them voiced, and animated them using text, images, and rights-free footage. The resulting visual monologues became known as our Script to Screen series. We created 23 of these shorts. These are four of them.
