Filmmaker Meg Shutzer will be at LUNAFEST Palm Springs virtual event to answer your questions!


Meg Shutzer is a queer, award-winning documentary filmmaker and investigative reporter from Oakland, California. Her first documentary, “New Generation Queens: a Zanzibar Soccer Story,” premiered at the Manhattan Film Festival in 2015, played on four continents, and won numerous awards at film festivals. She is currently working on a two-year investigation of a juvenile detention center in Louisiana. When she isn't working on her own projects, Meg teaches a video class at San Quentin State Prison and is an avid cyclist and AIDS/LifeCycle participant. She has a BA from Harvard and a Masters in Journalism from UC Berkeley.
