Poppy (14) and her best friend Snoop (dog), spend their days writing rhymes and fantasising about becoming the world’s greatest rap duo. But to get in with the ‘tough’ kids at school Poppy must reinvent herself as a rude battle-rapper. Her new, hardcore persona gets her mad respect but Poppy takes it too far. She turns her destructive dissing power on her mate Snoop for some street cred. With their friendship in shambles, Snoop runs away and nearly gets hit by a train. The scare teaches them both a valuable lesson about the power of words. This rap-operetta is a pop-culture rewind about a young mastermind with rhymes that spellbind and aim to remind all of mankind a little fact that: ‘It’s cool to be kind!’
