ToonBoom Harmony is used by artists and studios all around the world, and is recognised for the power it delivers in creating character rigs for series work, but Harmony has some incredible tools for hand drawn animation as used in feature films such as Klaus.

In this masterclass, Marie-Éve Lacelle will show you how she creates hand drawn animation in a classical style using brushes and textures along with many tips and tricks.

Marie-Ève Lacelle is an animation artist from Montréal, Canada. Her education lies in both 2D hand-drawn and 3D animation and her industry experience is specialised in paperless animation, 2D rigging and compositing. Prior to joining Toon Boom as a Solutions Specialist, Marie-Eve worked on series including but not limited to: Nickelodeon's Glitch Techs, Disney's Big Hero 6 the series and Ankama's Wakfu.

'I know my way around a multitude of software, but Harmony is my favourite tool, it is so versatile, allowing me to be independent from layout to final comp as well as team up with other talented professionals.'

Today Marie-Eve is an active member of the Toon Boom Professional Services team, working with global animation studios for various consulting contracts and advanced training in the best practices that are setting the standard in the industry.
