This year Manchester Animation Festival delegates get a special behind the scenes look at the forthcoming feature film The Character of Rain (Métaphysique des tubes) with Director Liane-Cho Han. Join Liane-Cho as he shares material from the upcoming feature film that tells the story of Amélie, a 2-and-a-half-year-old Belgian girl, born in Japan, who thinks that she is God. From her point of view, she believes she can make plants grow in the garden, or cross the sea by foot. She thinks she’s at the centre of everything and she has only one goal: to convert the world to her cult! Realised in gorgeous 2D animation the film is set to be released in 2024. Having worked as a storyboard artist, animator and animation director Liane-Cho will share with us the journey that led to him creating his first feature film.

Purchasing a ticket for this event will automatically issue you a free ticket for the The Character of Rain Q&A with Liane-Cho taking place on Fri 19 Nov at 13:30.
