Join the Livestream for Grown Folk Talk: Issues in Men’s Health: Men’s health is too often overlooked—and for Black men, the disparities are alarming. This program addresses the critical health issues men face, with a special focus on reaching Black men, who are disproportionately affected by chronic illnesses.

We’ll look at risk factors, including prostate and testicular cancer, STIs and diabetes, with insights from leaders in the field of wellness for men. This panel is about breaking the silence, removing the stigma, and empowering men to take control of their health—body, mind, and spirit.

Featuring Daniel Dawes, Dean of the School of Global Health and SVP of Global Health at Meharry Medical College, and Dr. Georges C. Benjamin, Executive Director of the American Public Health Association.

This is the fourth of four events scheduled to stream live from the Barbara Jordan Conference Center on September 19, 2025.
