The winners of the Baltimore Screenwriters Competition will be announced at a live virtual presentation on Sunday, May 23 at 12 noon! An informative panel discussion featuring filmmaker Arnon Manor, Executive Producer Nina Noble and Screenwriter Ken LaZebnik along with Keith Mehlinger from Morgan State University will discuss the competition process and screenwriting for today’s market and introduce the winners of the 2021 competition!
The Baltimore Screenwriters Competition is a project of the Baltimore Film Office at the Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts, in conjunction with film programs at Johns Hopkins University and Morgan State University who is also a primary sponsor, along with the Maryland Film Festival and Write Brothers. Submitted scripts receive coverage from students in the Johns Hopkins University and Morgan State University screenwriting programs and by local screenwriters and producers. The final screenplays are selected by the competition judges.
