Wiped out by Dutch settlers less than a century after their arrival on Mauritius to establish a  penal colony, the Dodo continues to live on as a disembodied signifier of its genocidal  extermination. Dead As A Dodo lays bare the settler colonial mythology at the heart of the  popular narrative of the Dodo’s extinction, drawing on archival material and in conversation with a book of poems titled A Theory of Birds by the Palestinian-American  poet Zaina Alsous. Lines from this collection and a zoological study of the Dodo (1848) have  been collaged into a cento to narrate the fictions (of race, name, and value) that enshrine settler  colonial imaginaria over and above living in “co-dignity” with the land.

It’s a summer tradition to escape the heavy heat of the Tunisian sun and find one’s friends by the pool, the greatest pool of all, the Mediterranean. LA PISCINE is an impression of a place and time, a slice of life in the small seaside town of Tabarka. It is a film in two parts: The first lyrically evokes the filmmakers’ vision of an idyllic summer landscape and the second follows a group of boys who show up everyday without fail to run, jump, and swim.

This short documentary follows a mother (Aysha) and daughter (Osha) as they travel through the desert hunting with falcons, the traditional Emirati method that has been passed down through the generations.

'The Land' documents the uprising of the people of Bisri and activists from all of Lebanon&nbsp;against the construction of the dangerous dam leading up to the Bisri Valley's liberation. Farmers and shepherds discuss their fears of losing the land and their intimate relationship with it. It also presents the project's seismic and geological dangers,&nbsp;its futility, the conflicts of interests surrounding its construction, and its desctruction of a rich and significant area in every respect.

According to the obligations of their religion, when someone dies, a person who is familiar with the requirements of the religion washes the body by hand so that he can go to the Hereafter clean. But now the people of this city are facing a difficult challenge to wash the corpses that have died from the Covid 19 virus. because few people are willing to touch these corpses by hand!

This poetic hybrid documentary introduces us to three majestic, abandoned buildings that witnessed Beirut’s tumultuous history—coming to life through a casual conversation amongst themselves. Using animation and archival audiovisuals, this film takes us back to the Golden Era of Beirut, when the Piccadilly Theater was filled with glamorous entertainment, the Egg was bustling with people in its local markets, and Beit Beirut housed an iconic hair salon and families living under its art-deco roof. Sadly, when the Lebanese Civil War erupted in 1975, the lives of these buildings changed completely.
