The cheesy greeting cards her son sends her in social isolation begin to take on a special importance. <img src="https://storage.googleapis.com/eventive-static/ffd6184572fde801d75efdaca04540b3.jpg" width="85" style="display: inline; float: left; margin: 0px 1em 1em 0px;">Chen Sing Yap grew up in Singapore, where he worked as an editor in lifestyle television for 4 years. While working long hours in the cutting room, he gained a crippling addiction to hugging stuffed turtles. He has since moved to Canada where he is studying for a film degree at Sheridan College.

The Milton Film Festival is thrilled to welcome back Milton's own Jawad Mir, whose documentary ONLY 78 had its Ontario premiere at MFF in 2018. He and co-director Ahmad Ebrahimi will be on hand after the screening for a livestreamed Q&amp;A. When Ahmad's life comes under threat by the Taliban in Afghanistan, he leaves his family behind for survival without saying good bye and ends up in Europe's worst Refugee Detention Camp, Moria. The film follows his journey in the detention centre with hopes of finding asylum in Europe or Canada. It is the heart and soul of any film.&nbsp;When working on any project, that’s what&nbsp;Jawad Mir&nbsp;strives to do – he strives to tell a story.&nbsp;He has directed and produced several features all over the world including&nbsp;In Search of My Sister&nbsp;which follows the story of an American Uyghur Activist whose sister is taken by the Chinese Communist Party. Mir’s other productions include&nbsp;Citizens of Moria,&nbsp;Baristas,&nbsp;Escape from Manus Island,&nbsp;Flippin’ Red&nbsp;and&nbsp;Only 78. Mir has made over a dozen films.&nbsp;His films have been acquired by the production house The Orchard and Samuel L. Goldwyn. Sayed Ahmadzia Ebrahimi is a filmmaker from Afghanistan. He has worked as a TV producer and he made short films and documentary. He had filmmaking workshops for youth in different cities in Afghanistan and Tajikistan. In 2016 he left Afghanistan to find better life in Europe.
