Welcome to the 23rd MKE INT Short Film Fest! Our festival kicks off with an animated satire, Mondo Domino by French filmmaker, Suki and doesn't let up. You'll see a western, Dusters by Australian filmmaker Noel Vinson, filmed in Australia, but with a Wisconsin crew. There's a very short, and moving film about human connection from Christopher Tenzis (Big Touch). Another French film, but it's also an Arabic speaking farce by festival favorite, Fabrice Bracq (Burqa City). There's also a charming LGTQ romance by first time filmmaker and dancer, Reanna Madson (Avelina). A meditative animated music video, Aurora by James Barany and the OLGA Vocal Ensemble. The experimental dance film, Lamentation is by local filmmaker, Marissa J. WIlliams. We also have Lessons With Martha by Matthew C. Johnson, a touching drama based on the director's own life, and we'll close out the block with Quiet on Set by Jeanette Buck, a stunning drama dealing with sexual assault on a film set. For information on these films please hit the links connected to each title, or visit our website, Milwaukee Independent Film Society for more on this block and the rest of our programs playing during the festival.
