This riveting documentary brings together a veritable who’s who of Israeli politicians and generals who testify about the extraordinary life of Israel Prime Minister Yitzhak Shamir. We hear from key figures involved in the bombing of Iraq’s nuclear reactor and the response to Saddam Hussein’s launch of Scud missiles (among other crises) such as former Prime Ministers Ehud Barak and Ehud Olmert, and former heads of Israel's Secret Agencies such as Ya'akov Peri and Shabtai Shavit, in addition to interviews with Shamir's confidants, collogues and family. The film intertwines these interviews with exclusive, behind-the-scenes footage, illustrating the thin line between the terror of war and the hopes of peace. Shamir, His Way provides a rare glimpse into Shamir's early years in Poland, his family in Israel, his leadership of the Stern Gang (Lehi) up through his years as Prime Minister. We learn that this man of few words combined tenacity, cunning, and single-minded dedication to Israel in a way that has shaped the lives of many in Israel and the whole Middle East.

Accompanying the film premiere is a discussion with directors Igal Lerner & Erez Fridman, Yitzhak Shamir's son Yair Shamir, special guest Noa Cacharel, and moderator Rabbi Ed Farber. To view the conversation please click here.
