This captivating film charts the extraordinary life and enduring legacy of Menachem Begin, one of the most pivotal figures in Israeli and Jewish history. Born in 1913 to an Orthodox Jewish family in Brest, then part of the Russian Empire, Begin’s formative years were steeped in faith, Zionism, and the upheavals of a Europe on the brink of devastation.

From his early days in the underground resistance to his central role in the founding of the State of Israel, and ultimately his historic tenure as Prime Minister, Begin’s journey is traced with both breadth and intimacy. The film revisits his landmark achievement of securing peace with Egypt—a breakthrough that earned him and Anwar Sadat the Nobel Peace Prize in 1978—while also reflecting on the personal struggles, memories, and losses that shaped his character.
