He was one of the greatest geniuses who ever lived, whose impact spanned teaching, scholarship, and mathematics, yet he lived a life of profound paradox. Known only as Mr. Shoshani, he slept on park benches, wandered the globe in tattered clothes, and survived on meager rations, his true identity shrouded in mystery. He was known as Shoshani in some places, and by different names at other times and in other places. He was a Holocaust survivor. Or was he?

Fluent in 30 languages and versed in philosophy, physics, economics, and biology, he left an indelible mark on those he encountered, including Nobel Prize laureate Elie Wiesel and renowned philosopher Emmanuel Levinas. Despite his profound intellect and mythological status, he had no family or friends, and the source of his extensive knowledge and mysterious wealth remains an unsolved riddle, with some even claiming he was merely a legendary figure.

How did he acquire his extensive knowledge? What was his worldview? Why was his life such a secret? The Shoshani Riddle is a journey into the heart of one of the most intriguing and enigmatic figures of our time.
