THE FERRYMAN
Greg Caruso’s office is an 18 foot canoe on a remote section of Maine’s Kennebec River. Greg is a ferryman for hikers completing the 2,190 mile long Appalachian Trail. This documentary short explores Greg’s lifelong connection to rivers, and his occupation that is defined by a simple and beautiful daily passage across the Kennebec River.
NEVER IN THE WAY
Chicago-based bike messenger Nico Deportago-Cabrera departs from the hectic bustle of his normal life by venturing into the Arizona desert, an unknown landscape that’s starkly different from the daily chaos of the city. Guided only by the spirit of adventure, he finds something you only get when you’re far from what you know: perspective.
RIDE MAINE: CAPE ELIZABETH
Cape Elizabeth is home to some of the most scenic mountain biking trails in Maine, with wide open fields, long wood bridges, and ocean views. Follow Megan, a local, along for a ride through the many trails the Cape has to offer.
CRUX
Harvey is a recovering addict who uses rock climbing to work through his ongoing struggle with mental health. As trauma, depression, heartbreak and declining mental health were woven into Harvey’s internal fabric, so was rock climbing. Crux tells the story of Harvey’s recovery as he learns to love himself amidst the mountains of his life.
THE MAROON BOMBER
Four siblings delve into the love they share for the family’s old, beat up truck. This love gets tested.
DANI BURT
For the first few days after she awoke from her coma, Dani Burt didn't know her right leg, from just above the knee down, was gone. When the doctors finally told her the full extent of her injuries, Burt, an active, hungry-for-life person, wasn't sure if she could go on. But she found the courage to continue through surfing, which led her on a path to becoming the first-ever women's World Adaptive Surfing champion.
