The Life We Learn With is a narrative documentary of the filmmaker's own true story about the production of his senior class film project at Keene State College in 1984. Taken under the wing of his mentor Bob Gunther, along with his cast and crew of fellow film students, he learns the intricate details involved in making a short film. It is also a coming-of-age story as he experiences the joys and heartaches of falling in love for the first time.
