"Elder Voices" tells the stories of Japanese-Americans, European Jews, and conscientious objectors who came of age during the the perilous times of the Great Depression and World War II. Residing together in a retirement community, they continue to live and share the values and principles grounded in the lessons that were forged in their youth, confronted with anti-Semitism, internment camps, and bigotry.

A meditation about the destructiveness of hate and the power of love, this film addresses the political storm clouds gathering today that in many ways uncomfortably mirror those of the past. The stories of these elders, and the actions they continue to take today, could not be more timely or relevant.
