Produced by Music Kitchen - Food for the Soul, the pioneer organization to bring classical music to those experiencing homelessness, Forgotten Voices is the groundbreaking song cycle which set concert feedback comments of shelter clients over 15 years to music by 15 award-winning composers and received its World Premiere at Carnegie Hall. Short film Face to Face: Forgotten Voices Heard, also debuted with the song cycle at Carnegie Hall, introduces 4 shelter clients, their amazing life stories of homelessness and insight, wisdom and fame. Directed by the dynamic new team of Peabody award-winning director Elliott Forrest and award-winning violinist, producer and Music Kitchen founder Kelly Hall Tompkins, this powerful film, featuring performances by Music Kitchen, music of Pulitzer Prize-winning Forgotten Voices composer Paul Moravec, ASCAP Bernstein Award-winning composer Guy Mintus and celebrated photographer Margaret Morton, will shatter your assumptions and touch your soul.
