David Aguiar is a PhD student. He holds a Masters degree in Film and Audiovisual from UFC (Ceará Federal University), as well as he graduated in Social Communication-Journalism from UNIFOR (University of Fortaleza). He is a founding partner of the film production company "Além Mar Filmes." Director and screenwriter of the films “Dos Campos à Concentração”, 2018, selected in Rumos Itaú Cultural 2015/2016 as well as director, writer, cinematographer, and editor of the short film "Bottling Dreams to be Remembered, 2018", (selected in the XII Ceará Edict of Cinema and Video of Ceará 2015). He also directed the following short films: “Matraca / 2016”, “Tempo Branco/ 2014” and “Shortcuts / 2013”. David Aguiar also did direction and cinematography in the short film “Conhecendo o Desconhecido / 2014), All films selected and awarded at national and international festivals. David is also a researcher in the areas of Image Theory, Semiotics and Art History.
Sabina Colares holds a degree in Literature from UFC (Federal University of Ceará), an specialist in Audiovisual and Electronic Media from the Institute of Culture and Art of Ceará. She’s a founding partner of the production company “Além Mar Filmes”. Director and screenwriter of the film Corrals. She also wrote and directed the movie “Ash Wednesday / 2018”, witch was exhibited at the “12th Ceará Edict of Cinema and Video of Ceará” in 2015. Sabina also wrote and directed the film, “Mangues and Nós / 2010”, selected in the Ceará Edict of Cinema and Video, which attend several film festivals, director and screenwriter of the short films “Tempo Branco / 2014”, “Knowing the Unknown / 2014”, “Shortcut / 2013” and “What I Have of You? / 2009”, selected and awarded in national and international festivals. She is the founder and coordinator of the “Educando o Olhar” film course that takes place in public schools at Fortaleza city. She currently develops works in the areas of script, documentary and contemporary cinema.
