This documentary illuminates the life and work of Bayard Rustin –vocal pacifist, chief planner of the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom, and often called an” unknown hero” of the Civil Rights movement. Despite his many achievements as an activist, Rustin was silenced and imprisoned due to being an openly gay man in a homophobic era.
