On October 8, 2017, in the middle of the night, Beau Decker and Yoosha Carson awakened and hurried out of their beds as a rabid forest fire swept through their neighborhood. Both boys lost their homes that evening, along with many others in Redwood Valley, California.

These are their stories; for their fellow neighbors who have lost and their advice on how to heal.

Animated and filmed on top of audio recordings of Beau (5 years old) and Yoosha (11 years old). I asked them, "What's a story you'd tell someone who's afraid of fire?" and these are the stories they made up.
